East End A Quarter

East End A quarter had 11 estates where a windmill for crushing sugar cane may have been built. Of these, 10 have been located in the field and one has not been located. While not as dry as East End B quarter, East End A quarter tends to be drier than areas further west on St. Croix. This dryness suggests why no settlements appear on the map during the French period. However, in the period between the French and Danish periods, squatters settled in this area.
